Bayezid I was a Sultan of the Ottoman Empire who ruled from 1389 to 1402. During his reign, he issued several coins including silver coins, known as akçe.
Bayezid I silver coins, or Bayezid I akçe, are typically small, round coins with a diameter of about 16-18mm and a weight of around 0.5-0.7 grams. They feature the Sultan's name and titles on one side, often with a depiction of him in profile, and on the other side, a simple Islamic inscription such as "La ilaha illa Allah Muhammad rasul Allah" (There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his messenger) or "Allah" (God).
Bayezid I's silver coins were important for both commerce and propaganda, as they served to spread his image and message throughout the empire. Today, they are highly valued by collectors of Ottoman coins and can be found in a variety of conditions and grades, ranging from well-preserved to heavily worn.
